afternoon SITTING,

(Per Pbsss Associafriox.) Wellington, last night. The Council met at 2.30. The Divorce Act Amendment Bill was read a second time. , Mr Wigram moved too second reading of the Legislative Council Reform Bill to amend the Constitution of the Legislative Council. Tho debate was adjourned. The House met at 2.30. The greater part of tho afternoon was occupied discussing replies given by the Minister to questions. •EVENING: SITTING.

Tha House resumed at 7.30. Mr Sidey moved the second reading of Bible Lesson in Public Sohools Plebiscite Bill. A debate lasting several hours took lilacs. Sir Joseph-Ward said the proposal how submitted would lead tothe introduction of denomihationalism into schools, and he would'prefer to see a straight out vote taken on the question of whether the present education system - ehould .be continued or hot.
