PARK RACECOURSE.

(To the Editor of the Times.)

Sir, —The suggestion made at the Council meeting on Tuosday evening in regard to the Borough Council acquiring the Park racecourse is one worthy of consideration by that body. The property would prove a sound investment to the Council and in the near future would bo found invaluable as a recreation ground. At the coßt at which it could be acquired good interest would be obtained on the outlay. As there are very few properties of a suitable kind in the market, it is to be hoped the Council will not let this opportunity pass.—l am, etc., BATE PAYER.
