Tuesday’s Napier Telegraph states ! An obituary notice appears to-day of the death of another of too few old llawke’s Bay self bra, in the pei-aon of Mr William Miller, who for some months past has been ailing and', gradually sinking, having reached the good age of 80 years. Mr li.iiJ.sr, with his family, came to Napier in the early sixties, end with Mr D, E. Lindsay commenced the businoss of builders in Shakespeare road. After some year 3 together Mr Lindsay retired from the firm, Mr Sillier continuing on his own account. Later deceased was appointed gaoler at Napier, a position he held for some" considerable time. Of late years deceased has inspector of buildings for tbe Education Board, fr.is qnties extending far beyond Gisborne on the north to W°odyi!le in the south. On one : of these journeys • MiMiller some two years since took a severe cold, which left its traces, and since then ho haß never been strong. He leaves a widow and grown-up family to mourn his death. One son, Mr David Miller,is chief ppstmaster at Wanganui. Another son is now in Soptb Africa, a third is at Gisborne, and the fourth living in Napier, Thera are three daughters married and two unmarried. The interment is to telco place on Thursday. The late Mr Miller was a prominent Oddfellow, b member of the Loyal Nspier Lodge, and a trustee for : 80 - years, ■
