PIONEERS.
(Per Press Association.) Hokitika, last night, O The first reunion of West Coast pioneers last night passed off very successfully/ There was a large and representative attendance of pioneers who came here between 1864 and 1866. Apologies for', absence were received from various parte of the colony, and a cablegram from an. ex-Coaster in Hobarfc. Telegrams were also received from the Hons. Marshall and Holmes- and Mr Seddon. The Premier s health was honored with muoh enthusiasm. Mr Seddon referred to the Br ?s t J - itapetus Given by the West Coast gold discovery to the colony, and prophets a . B reat future for the Coast when through communication was afforded anal the district properly opened up.
