The Council met at 2.60. The final ballot for the election of Speaker resulted : Hon. O. C. Bowen 21 votes, Hon. G. MoLoan 14. The House met a$ 2.30,
The whole afternoon was occupied in discussing a motion for the eetcing up of an Education Committee, the debate traversing the whole education policy and administration of the Government, i EVENING SITTING. Th@ Ho-uss rfflsmmeU 7.80. After a leugtay debate an” Education Committee was set up. The Criminal OodtTAmendment Bill was read a Becond time.
