There were 7412 bales offered, and 3267 sold. Punta Arenas wool showed 20 oontimos advance. Following are the Frozen Meat Trade Association’s Smitbfield market quotations for the under-mentioned classes of frozen meat, based on actual sales of not lees than 100 carcases of mutton or lamb, or 24 carcases of beef of fair, average quality. These quotations ore not for selected linos, but for parcels fairly representative of the bulk of shipments now on the market :—Frozen mutton : Canterbury, light, 481 b to 661 b, 4j}d ; medium, 561 b to 641 b, 4 3 8d ; heavy, 641 b to 721 b, 4d. Lambs : Canterbury, light, 281 bto 361 b, 5 l.!-16d ; heavy, 361 b to 421 b, 5 3-Bd. Sow Zealand beef : Ox fores, 1801 b to 220ib, 23-8 d ; ox hinds, 180 to 2201 b, 3 88d. River Plate sheep, 4§d ; beef forequarters 2£d, hinds BJd.
