The jury found that the baarer corps and orderly room at the drill shed was wilfully set ou fice on-May 2S by some perBon or porsouß unknown. WRONGFULLY DISMISSED. Two ex-employees of the New Zealand Electrical Construction Company have been awarded L 25 damages for wrongful dismissal. ADMITTED TO PROBATION. Sunderland, ex-manager of the Christchurch S',earn Laundry Company, was convicted and discharged on a charge of the thefts of goods valued at Ll 7 4s 9d, and ordered to be placed on probation for six months. CLAIM FOR DAMAGES. For wrongfully lodging a caveat against the sale of certain land MoKendry was ordered to pay Prcbble L3O ,13s 4d damages.
