The railway carriages wrecked at Chancy’s in Saturday’s railway acoident have been taken up and placed upright, but the guard’s van and engine are still lyiDg in the mod. The Entortainmonn Committee of the Christchurch Exhibition is considering a proposal for an international band contest in connection with the Exhibition. William Powers has boon committed to trial on a charge of committing a gross outrage on a girl of ten years. Bail was a owed of £260, in two sureties of £125 each.
