AFTERNOON SITTING, (Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. The House met at 2.30. The whole of the afternoon was occupied in formal business. A largo number of Bills were read a Srst time, and -various sessional committees woro set up. Mr Seddon explained that the Shops and Offices Act Amendment Bill repealed lection 3 of the Act of last sessioD. EVENING SITTING, IOLDAPSE OF ADDEESS-IN-REPLY DEBATE. ; (Per Press Association.) Wolliogton, last night. The House resumed at 7.30. Mr Fiatman moved the address-in-reply and Mr Hogg seconded. Mr Massey spoke for an hour in criticism of the Government policy and administration. The debate then unexpectedly collapsed, and tho address was agreed* to. The House rose at 10.45.
