St. Petersburg, Juno 27. A bomb Was thrown at tho carriage of M. Pavloff, ohiof of police at Czonstoohowa, who, with seven others, was seriously wounded. Throe hundred and forty-three Jews and 218 Christians were buried ail r the fighting at Lodz.
MURDEROUS COSSACKS. REGIMENT OF DRAGOONS REFUSE TO MURDER PEOPLE. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright Received 11.3& p.m., June 27. St. Petersburg, June 27. A Cossack patrol at Lodz, being attacked from behind a cemetery wall, entered the oemetery and killed five mon, four women, and throe children. The officers of the Murom dragoon regiment informed the commander of the troops on behalf of the mon that they declined to shoot down defenceless people. The regiment was transferred to Wloulaußk. General Maksimovitoh ordered an inquiry. - It is somi-offioially announced at St. Petersburg that Government upholds the necessity for the establishment of consultative representative Assembly. Several newspapers, however, had erroneously drawn from the Czar’s speeoh far reaching oonolnsions, suggesting complete reorganisation of the constitution.
STORMING THE BARRICADES. 1200 KILLED AND 3000 WOUNDED IN TEN DATS. By Electric TelegrapE?—Per Press Association. Received 12.47 a.m., Juno 28. St. Petersburg, Juno 27. Twenty thousand Jews have quitted Lodz. Yesterday the barricades erected at Warsaw were stormed. There wore many casualties and 200 arrests. Twolve hundred were killed and 3000 wounded in the ten days’ fighting. The Caucasus garrison at Taurida sent reinforcements.
