There is fair looal inquiry for wheat, especially bright samples, which arc difficult to obtain. Very little wheat is offering, and there are but few sales to record. What wheat there is being purchased is for shipping purposes. A line of 800 bushels of good Tuscan was bought at 23 Bd, and 1000 bushels of the same variety, slightly sprouted, 2s 7d at country stations. Thorc is a good enquiry for oats, but the offerings are limited. Sales are rooorded of 1000 bushels of heavy Gartens at Is s£, 200 bushels duns Is 7d, 1200 bushels Danish Is s}, and other lots of Gartons Is 6d, and Danish Is 5d at Canterbury etation. Oat sheaf chaff is rather dull of sale, 57s 6d being offered, but sellers are generally asking 60s. ' Potatoes are firmer, and Derwonts were bought at £5 10s at country stations. ,
