TUAHINE LIGHT.
The masters of vessels arriving at and departing from thi3 port on Sunday night report that the Norwegian light at Tuahme Point was not visible. Captain Bolls, of tho s.s. Tarawera, reported that the light was not seen when the steamer left Poverty Bay for Napier, and Captain Martin, of the auxiliary schooner Waiapu, reported that when he passed Tuabine Point at 11 o’clock on Sunday night be could sue nothing of tho light,, although he» oou d distinguish tho lighthouse. He officially reported the matter to Mr TV- J. Hawley, collector of customs. Captain Cumming. harbormaster, inspected tho lamp yesteiday afternoon.
