CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SUGGESTION. [(Fee Press Association.) Wanganui, last night.

The Chamber of Commerce has unanimously carried the following resolution : “ That in the opinion of this Chamber the settlement of large of unimproved native laod, such as exists in Wanganui and in other districts, would be best accomplished by the Crown obtaining such lands by means of a Native Land for Settlement Act, the capital value being invested by Government, so as to provide a continuous income for the native owners, and that the Government be asked to introduce the necessary legislation this session.”
