In bright sunshine, and amid popular rejoioing, tho marriago of Princess Margaret of Connaught and tho Crown Princo Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden was solemnised at St. George’s Chapel in the presenoo of the parents, King Edward, Queen Aloxandria, Princo of Wales, Duchess of Fife, Princess Victoria and other royalties, the Khedive, Grand Duke and Duchoes of Baden, the Laudgrave of .Hesse, nobility, statesmen and diplomalists.

There was a brilliant scene. The Archbishop of Canterbury and Bishop of Oxford officiated. There was great enthusiasm in Sweden, and Christiana was decorated with flags. Berner, President of the Storthing, and Miohelßon cabled : " Norway sends heartfelt congratulations.” The municipality and university of Christiana, also the students and many Norwegian municipalities sent similar congratulations. King Oscar has been made a British admiral and King Edward has been made a flag admiral of the Swedish navy.
