THE WOOL SALES.
The Gisborne Woolbrokers’ Association bpld their quarterly sale of wool, skins, hides, etc, yesterday. There was the usual attendance of buyers, and bidding was spirited, prices showing a marked improvement on those of last sale. Messrs Common, Shelton and Co. report [ a strong demand and spirited bidding for all classes. Fleece and lambs-’ wool brought 7Jd to B£d, crutchings ssd to 6Jd, locks 4£d to 4Jd ; well-saved Btation skins 7£d to 7Jd, medium from 6£d to 7id, inferior from 44d to 6Jd. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company’s catalogue comprised I 15 boles 25 bags and 5 pockets wool, 380 skins, 12 hides, and 6 packots tallow. The following prices were realised: Fleece and lambs’ wool 7-id to Bd, crutchings 5d to Bd, locks and pieces 4d to 4-J-d, pieces 4d to sfd, alipe S&d, slipe lambs’ 9d, dead 7d. Pelts farougqt Is Id to la Bd, salted pelts Is lid to 2s 7d, hides 3gd to 3gd, oalf skins 4£d, tallow 20a 6d to 21s
