Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. Tho Government hos accepted the tenderif John Anderson and Co. for the eonstretion of the Makatote viaduct, on tho Ncth Island Main Trunk line. At a trowdd meeting of the St. John Ambulaice Asooiation, His Excellency the Governor presented modallions and certificates aweded during the past year. In the course of the proceedings, Mr Fisher, secretat, announced that he had received an aditional donation of £250 from a citizen, tinging the funds of the local centre up o nearly £2OOO oash in hand.
