RIOTOUS MEETING.
THE ZIONIST DEPUTY. (Par- Press Association.) Auckland, last night. The Rev. Mr MeCullagh, who is conducting a mission on behalf of Zion City, got rather a rough time at each of his services yesterday. Iu the afternoon, after reading a short passage of Scripture, he started to abuse the public press and Freemasons.
A man in the audience asked the speaker “ What about tho king ?” MeCullagh got off the stage, amid cries of “ Coward 1”
The audience then sang “ God Save the King.” Hearing a noise inside, a largo crowd that had collected outside the hall burst the doors open. A general melee followed, chairs and forms being thrown about. One or two persons were injured. MeCullagh, after accusing the police of being in with the crowd and the press to hunt him down, closed the mao-ing. The crowd took charge of tho hall, and sang comic songs until about 5 o’clock, when they- got tired and dispersed.
