Sir, —I read very carefully your leadin article n your lest issue on the water supply question, and I must say you ehowed the matter in a very different light to the way tho man in the street underr Jv stands it. I hope the matter will not bs let drop, and something done to stop the Council doing tbe silly thing they decided to do, to have tho steel pipes when they can gat the good pipes for-onbA £2500 -T more; and perhaps we will have fKßlako. up tho pipes in seven yeers’ time as tho Hokilika people had to do. The Mayor called a public mooting on a matter of much smaller importance than this tho otbor day about something the Governuiont were doing wrongly. Why not got him to call another one about what tho Council ai o doing wrongly?—l am. etc. INTERESTED RATEPAYER, 'ft. ■* . ...
