Tho vessel was 30 hours overdue from Sydney. It is probable that she was delayed by tho heavy fog of the last couple of days. A rumor that the vossel was ashore at Farewell Spit was circulated in the oity to-day, and oaueod much concern to people with relatives and friends on board.
