Auckland, last night.

For somo time past the cattle upon the farm of Jame 3 M. Davie?, Waikana, about eight miles from Coromandel, on the Coro-mandol-Mercury Bay road, had been in bad health. The owner had no suspicion that anything serious was the matter with them. The family continued to use the milk from one of the cows. The condition of one child is such as to lead to a suspicion that it is anthrax. It haß been j isolated. The County Clerk has communicated with the Stock Inspector. Meantime every preoaution is being takon to prevent the disease spreading.
