During the past week the weather has been very fine, and work of all descriptions is progressing satisfactorily. , ~ Bu3h-felling is now in full swing, and tne majority of settlers are having more or less felled. . ... j,. It is very satisfactory to note that a 01weekly mail has been commenced to tne Motu. It seems a rather premature move on behalf of the Department, considering tne only thing sold in the Post Office is stampsIf a Money Order Office and a Post Office Savings Bank was started here they would not only be a great convenience to settlers, but something more definite to warrant tne At a meeting of the members of the Motu Rifle Club on Saturday evening, it was decided to have a club competition on June 3rd (Prince of Wales’ Birthday), also to hold an annual ball on June lGth, when everybody will be welcome.
