The statemejit foe the second week of the New Zealand Utility Club’s egg-laying competition, at Lincoln College, shows that the total eggs laid during the week was 236, miking a total for the two weeks of 412. Last week tbo silver wyandottes of H. Hawke’s, Greytown North, headed the list with 33 eggs, the total for the two weeks being 49. The buff orpingtons of A. M. Price's, Christchurch, laid £2 eggs last week, a total for the two weeks of 39. - The black orpingtons of Alfred Tyree s, Cbristchureh, laid 20 eggs last week, the total for the two weeks being 28. The other corriDatitors well on the list are John :j’ Tindall, Christchurch, silver wyandottes, ' 32 for the two weeks ; !i E. M. Evans, f■/ Christchurch, silver wyandottes, 32 for two \_weeka; John Mann, white wyandottes, 29 £or two weeks, and Ernest Scott, Dunedin, brown leghorns, 26. The average for last week was nearly, 6.2 per pen, and tne previous week 4.6 per pen.
