Tho Times reports that Charles Casey, agout of one of the anions involved in the Chicago strike, wrote confessing that the strike breaker was beaten to death by assaulting by orders of the union. The assailants received 15 dollars for the assault.
Received 11.53 p.m., May 15. Sydney. May 16. ■ Arrived, the Marere, from Wellington. Another case of plague is reported. Melbourne, May 15. The Police Superintendent wires that Edwards, tho man wanted for tho Tataura murder, has been arrested and identified beyond a doubt.
St. Petersburg, May 15,
Cosßaoks dispersed crowds intending to demonstrate at St. Petersburg. Order was maintained at Warsaw, Moscow, and Lodz. Infantry reservists at Kisohineff pillaged tho Jewish houses. The inmatee took refuge in cellars and outhouses. Patrols restored order.
