THE EXHIBITION.
.'(Fee Presja Association.) Christchurch, last night. At a meeting of the exeontive of the International Exhibition held to-night the Premier telegraphed that the Governor had accepted with pleasure the position of patron of the exhibition. It was decided to thank His Excellency for accepting the position. O M. Gray was elected chairman of the executive. A Bub committee was elected to wait on the Domain Board to obtain permission to use as much of North Hagley Park as was required for the exhibition, and also to consider and report regarding legislation necessary in connection with the control of the portion of the park used for the exhibition, being temporarily vested in the executive.
A copy of a cable message forwarded by the Government to Mr Donne was read, in which Mr Donne was asked to make enquiries regardiog an amusement company that would bo willing to appear in connection with the exhibition. It was decided to recommend the Government to issue a series of stamps commemorative of the exhibition, to be sold only durmg the period the exhibition is open.
The area of the park necessary for the exhibition is stated to be one hundred and twenty acres.
