ORANGE BLOSSOMS.
.BRIGHT—BLOOMFIELD. A wedding which attracted muoh local interest was solemnised yesterday morning -'l/i the residence of Mrs Bloomfiold, "tChilders road. The contracting parties were Miss Flora Road Bloomfield, only - .daughter of Mrs E. R. Bloomfield, and Mr Harold E. Bright, aolioitor, eldest son ■of Mr J. W.. Bright, ma'nager of the New Zealand* Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. G. Paterson, in the presonco i 0 ( a large number of friends and relations. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr W. Read Bloomfield, of Auckland, looked charming in a dress of cream Duchess satin trimmed with white chiffon -y and lacs. She wore a beautiful wreath and veil, The bridesmaids, Misses Ethel and Daisy Bright (slaters of the bridegroom), Miss J. Rees (Auck3and), and Mias Ruby Best (cousin of •< t> he bride) was very tastefully attired. The .bridegroom was attended by Messrs C. ■Sharp, H. Williams (cousin of the bridegroom), B. Bright (brother of the bridegroom), and W. Bloomfield (brother of the bride). After the ceremony the guests repaired to a large marquee on the grounds, where the wedding breakfast was hold. The health of the bride and bridegroom
jvas proposed by Mr Townley, Mayor of l <£iaborno, whose remarks were supplemented by the Rev. ,T. G. Paterson, who ■mentioned that he had had the pleasure of performing the same service on the occasion of the marriage of the bridegroom’s i* father and mother, Mr and Mrs J. W. Bright. The health of of the bridesmaids was proposed by Mr A. F. Kennedy, ana was responded to by Mr Sharp. The Rev. Mr Paterson proposed the toast of the parents of tho bride and bridegroom, Mr W. Read Bloomfield and Mr Bright acknowledging the toast. The happy couple left shortly after on their honeymoon trip amidst showers of rice and flowers. The t werß very numerous and showed <Sh?-intorest taken in the event by a large circle of friends.of both parties.
