The Wairoa County Sheep Dog Trial Club were unfortunate in respect to weather for their meeting, the present being the third wet season. The number of entries was large, there being 35 competitors in the Heading Class, which took up the whole of the first day. The sheep were rather heavy for this class,' and the dogs did not do so well as they otherwise would have done, giving them suitable sheep and fine weather.
