Received 10.12 p.m., May 5. • Sydney, May 5. The general naval manoeuvres of the Australian squadron for 1905 have been postponed for the present. The Cadmus has received orders to proceed to Hongkong.
As the outcome of controversy the Chief Justice announced that the Full Court would sit sp-s long as deemed expedient in any capital. This will probably effect a saving, the Court sitting for a longer period in one city, instead of moving about regularly whether business deemed it or not. The new arrangement will be for the head-quarterß of the Court to be to a great extßnt at Sydney. At the annual meeting of the A.M.P. Society a highly satisfactory report was presented. The accumulated funds had increased to 20£ million, while the bonus distributed was the largest yet, and much larger than that of any mutual life office m the British Empire. Mr Richardson reported satisfactory business in New Zealand. The report was adopted.
