TAUKA NCI A, Monday. The scow Progress, bound ‘from ■Ngnuguru to Matata with'a cargo of 50 tons of coal, is ashoro on the Panipani. beach. The captain and crew reached here to-day. and report that the vessel was m_akjwig water so fast that it became necessary to beach her, in order to save her from sinking. There is a very heavy sea. now rnnu ing, and the vessel will probably become a total wreck* The Progress is a wooden vessel of 49 tons register, anil was built at Pakiri in ISB2.
