New York, May 3. , The Mayor of Chicago undertaking to proteot non-unionist teamsters by enrolling 900 additional police, employers consented not to arm employees with rifles. Nevertheless frequent collisions occurred, 3000 strikers nearly overpowering the negroes, the police ultimately rescuing them with great difficulty.
