By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Melbourne, May 2. The Commonwealth revenue returns for tea months show a decrease of £377,000. It seems likely that the Treasurer’s estimate for tho year will fall short by £IOO,OOO. Tbe decrease is mainly in spirits, narcotics, sugar, and metals. A good deal of intriguing is going on to break op the coalition. Some of the Opposition propose the formation of a Liberal alliance, which will have for its policy the Labor party views minus its pledge and its avowal of Socialism. The re-opening of the tariil question will be one of its important features. The intriguers hope to attraot Mr Deakin as leader. Mr Isaaos is not considered to carry sufficient weight for the position. I
