By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Received 9.28 p.m., April 28, Melbourne, April 28. At a meetiug of the Colonial Bank of Australasia the profits for the half-year , were £19,320. A dividend of S per cent, was declared ; £IO,OOO was transferred to -■ the reserve, and £3435 was carried forward. The report regretted that notwithstanding the large withdrawals of money* to Britain, funds collecting in financial institutions in the Commonwealth were showing a lack of entorpriso which charaoterised the earlier annals of tbe colonies.
