MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.

Auokland : Twenty-four candidates con tested twelve City Council Boats. The fol lowing wore elected : Messrs Grey, Gourl Casey, Enttican, Bagnell, Parr, Hutohln eon, Knight, Farrall, Tudehope, Glover and Smeeton.
Tho Onebunga Mayoral election resulted in Mr Gordon being elected, with 498 votes, Mr Kowe 408.
Davonport Mayoral election : E. W. Aileon (oleoted) 716, J. Dunning 307. Birkenhead: 3. H. Witheford, elected unonposed:
Waihi: Thos. Gilbert reflected Mayor by majority of 369.
Hawera : B. C. Bobbins (re-elected) 274, J. McAncny 168.
Thames: Archibald Barns defeated Frank Trembatb, the last oooupant, fay 497 votes to 425. Great interest was taken. Wellington : The final result of the election of City’Councillors was not known until three o’clock yesterday morning. There were 89 candidates for 15 seats. Tho results were : Winder 5896, Izard 5482, Godber 5112, Wiltshire 4940, T. Ballinger 4781, Cohen 4399, Murdooh 4221, A. S. Biss 4152, McLaren 3704, W. H. Morah 8445, A. E. Gibbs 3262, T. Carmichael 2723, J. Trevor 2726, Frost 2601, and A. H. Hindmarsh 2567. Messrs Winder, Izard, Godber, Wiltshire, Cohen, Murdoch, McLaren, and Frost were members of the old Council.
Christchurch : There was great interest in the Mayoral elections. Mr C. M. Gray, the sitting Mayor, easily won, polling 8264 votes, Pearce 952, Soronsen 856. Tho following Councillors were elected : Messrs Ward, Payling, Cooper Seager, Orchard Gapes, Lougbnan. Linwood ward : Messrs Horsley, Otley. St. Albans: Messrs Neale and Chioh. Sydenham: Messrs Hadfield, Manhiro, Parsons, and Alison. Six new councillors were returned. Nelson : The nine Councillors for Nel-
son elected include five old Councillors and four now candidates. Only 11 stood. At Biohmond six old Councillors were reelected. There were soven candidates. Oatnaru: The Moyoral election resulted—B. Milligan 657, W. H. Frith 306. A remarkable feature in conneotion with the Mayoralty and Council election was the prominence of the Domes of no-lioense supporteis amongst those heading the list.
Westport: In the Mayoral election the polling was G. Gothard 631, H. Larsen 436. The following were elected for the Council :—J. Marshall, J, Greenwood, G. Bryon, F. Munro, E. Hall, G. Lamplougb, H. Nahr, A. Hanson, and A. King.
