(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, last night. At the Addington yards to-day there was a large entry of all classes of stock,
and a good attendance. Store sheep were very dtoJI of sale, and many lots were passed. Fat lambs sold firmly at the previous week’s prices. 'Beef showed a further decline, sales boing difficult -to offeot. There was a fairly heavy yarding of store sheep, including some from the North Island and several lines of Flaxbourne sheep. There were few buyers present, and a considerable proportion of the yarding, among them being the Flaxbourne lots, were passed. The yarding of fat lambs was not as large as the previous week, and was of fair quality. There were only a few export buyers opsrating, but lambs eold well at the previous week’s rates. Light lambs made 16s to 17s 3d, prime 17s 6d to 18s 9d, and tegs 19s to 20a 9d. There was only a medium entry of fat sheep. The yarding of fat cattle totalled 176, and was mostly of usefnl sorts, there being several station lines entered. The demand was very slack, and a number of lots were passed, prices showing a further decline. Fine steers from Lake Coleridge made £7 12s 6d to £8 12s 6d, other steers £5 17s 6d to £B, heifers £4 17s 6d to £7, and cows £4 7s 6d to £5 2s 6d, equal to 15s to 20s per 1001 b. There was a large yarding of pigs, baoonera selling at the previous week’s prices. Porkerß were rather'easier, and there was a fair demand for well-grown stores. Baconers made 41s to 48s for light weights, equal to 4£d per lb, and 50s to 60s for heavy weights, equal to 4d per lb ; porkers 28s to 345, equal to to 4Jd per b ; large stores 25s to 335, medium 15b to . 225, weanere 7a to 12s. - -
