At the Sydney athletio meeting in the Three Miles Handicap, Shrnbb, allowing Morgan 420 yards, beat him by 350 yards in 14.54 3-5. In the 100 yards scratch Duffoy beat Barker and Rowley in 10 1-5 secs, but it was declared no race owing to Duffey anticipating the pistol. Ho declined to rerun the race. The 60 yards bandioap resulted: Duffey 1, Parker 2, Rowley 3. Time, 6 2-5. Two hundred and twenty yards {Championship of New South Wales : Barker 1, Brown 2, Jones 3. Time, 21 4-5. This is an Australasian reoord. Sbrubb won the two miles handicap in 9.44 1-5, beating Lynch, with 35 seconds start, by 200 yards.
