POLITICAL ADDRESS
[(Pen Press Association.) f Dunedin, last night. Mr H. D. Bedford, M.H.8., addressed a largely attended meeting of his constituents at the Garrison Hall this evening. He started off by statiDg that a man who desired sound finance could not support the present Government; a man who desired to see Parliamentary proceedings carried on on business methods; a man who desired to sbb progressive legislation on the lines of prinoiple could not support the present government. He then proceeded to endeavour to substantiate these allegations by elaboratings his points. He strongly supported the young New Zealand party, and thought it would be in power bofore very long. In reply to a question he said he would oope with the Flour Millers’ Association by taking off the duty on flour. A vote of thanks and renewed confidence was carried, an amendment of no-confidence finding only two supporters.
