On Monday nest Mr William Anderson’s Dramatic Company, who are at present playing a highly successful season at the Opera House, WelliogtoD, are to make their first appearance in Gisborne. Mr Anderson sends one of bis companies
through New Zaalaud every year, and is on this occasion trying Gisborne for a ,j short season of two nights, when he will present for the first time here the sensational nautical drama, *• A Sailor’s Sweetb oart.” Tho company commenced the
{Jiyisent tour at Dunedin on Boxing Night, where they played a record four weeks’ season, A Sailor’s Sweetheart ’■ being the opening bill, and ‘which had a highly successful run of six nights. The Timor Bays Sailor’s Sweetheart,’ made no unsuccessful „ appeal to the dramatic instinct of the V clientele at this theatre. Full cs the play is of thrilling and daring novelty, the .applause was hoarty and continual.
