(Per Press Association.) Wellington, yesterday. A meeting of delegates of the Liberal party, 'held at. Grey town, confirmed the recommendation of,tho first mooting, that Mr, Hornsby should be tho Liberal candidate for ■ the Wairarapa. The Premier, who was present by invitation, denied that he had gone to the electorate to dictate who should represent it. He said he concurred in the choice of a candidate. « Mr Fisher will contest Wellington Central seat at the general election. William Loveday, of Maurieoville, having intimated bis inability to join the Bisley team unless the allowance by the Government is increased, Sergeant Shaw, of Obinemuri, who fired so well in the early stages of the last championship meeting, will be invited to join the team. Captain Falconer, of Blenheim, formely staff officer and inspector of submarine mining in the colony, arrived here this morning, . at. the .request of the Defence Minister, .to discuss the question of the removal 'of a bank which obstructs the entrance to Okarito harbor, on the west coast, of the. South Island. At an interview..with Mr Seddpn, Captain Falconer agreed to. undertake the supervision of the work, and '. as soon as. the Hinemoa is j available the'men and necessary material will -be sent down. Operations will probably begin towards the end of the month. Reginald Sutton, aged 18, whose, parents reside at ,;Karori,„ was accidentally shot dead yesterday while rabbit shooting; He was trailing a gun, when it went off, the charge lodging in his groin. He died in a few minutes. I
