HOCKEY

The City Hockoy Club held its annual meeting in the Royal Hotel last evening, Mr A. Tanner in the chair. There was a good attendance. The report showed that the club bad 14s 6d in hand after paying all expenses. The club was second in the competition with ten wins and three lossee. Messrs Doyle, Sargisson, and McClure represented the club in the match with Auckland. The thanks of the club were due to the Rev. Father Mulvihill (president) and Mr J. Coleman (vice-president) for donations.

The election of officers resulted as follows : —President, Rev. Father Mulvihill; vice-presidents, Rev, Dawson Thomas, and Messrs J. Coleman, T. Adair, Lomax, T. Hood, J. H. Martin, W. Miller, and Dr Schumacher; captain, Mr J. J. Martin; deputy captain, Mr A. Tanner ; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. Doyle; committee, Messrs Sargisson, Delamere, and A. Coleman ; selection committee, Messrs J. Martin, A. Tanner, A. Coleman ; delegates, Messrs J. Martin and W. Delamere.

The following new members were elected : Mesers Melville, W. Beech, Don, Delaney, Young, Bayly, Peek.
