A so~ ens gas explosion ooourred In Grinlington’s grocery store ou Saturday night. An ompioyco named Shore wont to light a big burner. The match went out. Loaving tho gas turned on, ho returned for another. When ho returned with tho light a torrifio explosion followed. He was wearing glasses, and had his face immediately under the globe. One of iho pebbles of his spectaoles was smashed to atoms and piooes wero driven into his eye, and it is feared Shore will lose his sfght. He is a son of the late M. Shoro, ot Kaitaugata, mine manager.
