WHEAT MARKET. XFer* Press Association.} ; Christchurch, last night. The wheat market continues lifeless. A private cable received here from England advises that the market has fallen from 6d to Is per quarter, prices having been unfavorably affected by the heavy shipments. New wheat is quoted locally at from 2s lOd to 8s at country stations, the lastquoted price being for unblemished grain. Generally, prices asked for new wheat are above shippers’ values. Oats continue easier, but offerings are limited, farmers being satisfied to hold their stocks.
