A GDARD KILLED,
I '(Per Press Association.) I Napier, last night. I Another fatal accident occurred at the I -Hastings railway station this evening. As I the 9.15 train was leaving for Napier tbe I guard, Harry Carr, while attempting to I board tho train, slipped and fell on the line. Two carriages and tho guard’s van passed over his body. The train im- I ! mediately, pulled up, and medical ’assistance obtained, but death must have been instantaneous, as the body was badly I mangled. The deceased was about 55 1 years of age, and had a son in business in I Hastings. I
