DANGER OF ANTHRAX.

Christchurch, last night. !j ■ At a mooting of the executive of the r executive of the .Canterbury Farmers’ I Union to day, it was resolved to call the Minister s attention to the increasing dangor of anthrax in consequence of the large importations of hones, to express an opinion that -the present arrangement * would not meet the needs of the case, and to ask for either the prohibition of im- _ portation or storlization at ports of entry, and the executive was aUo of opinion that the loss to farmers through the possible introduction of the disease would her. greater than the loss they would sufforAthrough the total prohibition or the cost off! local sterilization. jIS ' c -
