It is expected that the now cable will bo if? operation during tho coming summer. Clarence Mackay said to-day that no now stock wonld be issued on this oabls, but the cost bad been mot by the Mackay Company, because of their desire ; -4b keep tho reserve fund of the commercial cable intact.' Mr Mackay added that the first.report of the Mackay Company to the -/ shareholders wonld bo made within the p < next fortnight. The new cable will cmibody the latest discoveries in this branch
