Before tho Navigation Commission evidence was given that Germany spent six millions in Australia, and sent out in return 2{- million pounds’ worth of goods. New South Wales’ imports last year were valued at £13,134,000. whereof £978.000 wbb from British possessions, New Zealand’s share being £862,000 ; her exports were £23,089.000, products and manufactures representing £15,230,000, and gold £4 958.000. New Zealand’s share of this was £925,000.
