PREMIER IN AUCKLAND
I ;(Eer Press Association.) I Auokland last night, | The Premier did not reoeivo any depuI tations to-day. This morning he went out [ to the Euralyus, and was received with I every honour. The ship’s whole crew was I piped to quarters on his arrival, and durI ing his stay on board the ship ho witnessed j a magnificont testimony of the discipline of the British sailors. The ship was cleared for action, and the whole of the complicated movements connected with the operation were gono through in the almost j incredible time of a minute and a half. This afternoon the Premier went down the harbor for a fishing excursion. To- I morrow afternoon ho will attend the Odd- I fellows’ picnic at Motutapu. On Monday I ho leaves Auckland by the Kaipara train I for the North.
I Later, —The Premier visited the flagship I Euralyus this morning, and had a long j consultation with Vice-Admiral Fanshawe. IMrW. P. Massey, leader of the OppoI sition, was one of the party. Upon the arrival of the Premier on board the flag- [ ship the crew were beaten to quarters, j and a general inspection was made of the warship.
