"School, and has for the last two years been the holder of a scholarship at St. John’s College, Auckland, has passed the final section of the B.A, degree, and •the first .section of the L;L.B. lie has now, resigned his scholarship; and accepted an appointment as' assistant master at Prince Albert College, 'Auckland, whore he is pursuing his studies in, arts and Mr Dunlop, is to be congratulated upon these successful results, .which are the more creditable, as he is still in bis 19th year. We claim him as a Gisborne j troy* as Gisborne is bis birthplace. He is a son of Mr and Mrs £>,. J-. Dunlop. . Mr D. O. Yilley, late second officer of the Maura, has been appointed to the position of second officer'of the company’s turbine steamer Loongana, running between Melbourne and, Launceston.
