The murderer Ellis, when told this VV. morning tho decision of the Executive, received the information with coolness and indifference. Tbo execution will take V place early next week. Both papers support tho Executive Council in their decision. Tho execution will take place at the Terraco Gaol, most likely at 3 turn, on Tuesday next. The j duty of hanging tho condemned man will j v bo performed by Tom Bong, who has several times acted in ■that capacity in I various parts of the colony. This morning the decision of tho Executive Council j was.coavoyod by Mr P. S. Garvey, Gov- j ernor of the Terraco Gaol, to the con- J demood man, who received it with groat j calmness. Ellis is in splendid health, and J eats >aod -sleeps well. He is visited daily j by Dr Henry, gaol surgeon. A pip° ® n< * I some tobacco has booo supplied to bun, I and any other little luxury which he asks | for is also given him. On Friday morning I the Sheriff will visit the gaol and I acquaint Ellis with tho date e.nd hour I fixed for the execution.
