Per Press Association. Christchuroh, lasirnight. There was a good entry of stock at the Addington saleyards yesterday, and a large attendance of butchers. Bidding generally was brisk, and prices as a whole were firm. ' Fat cattle—The yarding totalled 204 head, comprising steers and heifers of fair quality. For these there was a good demaud at prices equivalent to from 15s to 203 par lOOib, extra quality realising 22a. A line of ten stoers lorwarded by Mr W. F. M. Buckley from Boat Bay brought from US 7s 6i to £8 15s ; other steers realised from £7 15s to £9 15s, heifers £5 7s 6d to iSB 58, cows £5 2s 6d to d£6 10s.

Fat calves —There was a fair entry of 1 calves, whioh sold at prices ranging from 7s 6d to 355, according to size and quality. Store cattle —The entry was a small one, and the bidding lacked animation. Yearlings brought from 14s to 15s, 15 to 18 months old iSi 16s 6d to J 62 11s, two year steers i£4 10s, three year heifers JGS ; 23 four year steers were passed in at prices ranging from £6 12s 6d to £7 7s fid. Dairy oows—Dairy cattle realised from i£4 158 to JEB 15s. j :

. Fat sheep—There was a capital entry, and a brisk demand/for all prime quality, prioos being a shade higher than those ruling a week previous. The range of prices was : Prime wethers 21s to 24s 7d ; others 19s to 20a 6d, prime ewes 19s 6d to 22s 7d, medium 17s to 19s, aud others 16s to 18s 6d, merino wethers 15s 6d to 18s 9d.

Store sheep—There was a very large entry, including several largo lines, and practically the whole of the yarding was disposed of, buyers being particularly keen to obtain ewes and wethers. For these values showed an increase on previously ruling rates. Tbs prices were : Ewes 22s 6d to 14s 3d, wethers 19s 6d to 16s lOd, lambs 17s fid to 11s lOd.

Fat lambs—The entry of fat lambs was scarcely so large as last week, and exporters bidding freely prices were decidedly firm. Tegs sold at 18s 6d to 21a 2d, best lambs 16s to 19s 9d, lighter 14s 9d to 15s 6d;

Pigs—The yarding of pigs was not as large as usual, and prices were a shade higher for fats, but for store lines there was not much competition. Baconers brought from 35s to 48s, equal to from 34d to per lb ; porkers 25s to 365, equal to from 4Jd to 5d per lb. Stores: Large 18s to 265, medium 14s to 18s, woanors 7s to 12s. i
