FLAXBOURNE CASE.
(Per Press Association.) Blenheim, last night. The following additional witnesses have given evidence on behalf of the Crown in the Flaxbonrne case; —Ralph ChaSey, former manager of Highheld estate: Ernest Rosendale, sheepfarmer near Timarn; A. Murray, of Clarence River; Robert Humphreys, South Canterbury; Geo. Lane, [farmer, near Blenheim ; Geo. Armstrong, farmer of Scarborough; Thos. Beicher, of Christchurch ; Joseph Blackburn, flaxmiller on Flaxbourne; George King, land and estate agent at Christehuroh; Beg. Frenville, surveyor of Palmerston North; Thomas Brodrick, Government Surveyor \ Alfred Lyons, inspector qf properties for Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.; J. W. Merchant, Sur-veyor-General, and Peter, Commissioner of ] Taxes.
' Mr Heyes represented the average net income from the part that has been acquired by Government, taking the period of five years up to 1903, as £’8256. Mr Skerrctt, for claimants, combatted the princip'c of accountancy on which the witness had arrived at this amount. i
