ROBBERY ON S.S MARAROA

I covered that a daring robbery had taken I place. A lady, in the second-class, on | waking up this morning found a person or I persons had entered her cabin during tho I night and gone through her luggage. She I informed the ofßcers. No trace of the I thief was found. A gold watch and chain, purse, cash, and a handbag valued at about j £ls and return tickets are missing. The lady was under the impression that tho man hurriedly made exit just as she awoke. She was unable to distinguish him. It is stated that a number of sus-picious-looking characters from Australia were on board. The police searched several, but found no trace. An investigation is proceeding. .
